Farm Bureau Responds to Record Breaking Storms Across the Southeast

Easter Sunday is a celebration of joy and rebirth enjoyed around the world. This year, April 13, 2020, would also be a day of devastation across the southeastern United States when unprecedented, record-breaking storms tore their way across our communities.

Home Team on the Ground

At least nine tornadoes carved through Mississippi, resulting in unimaginable devastation. Farm Bureau agents began mobilizing emergency response services immediately, coordinating across multiple counties and reaching out to those in the hardest hit areas to assess damage in the wake of the storms.

Our teams set up mobile claim centers across towns and began inspecting both residential and commercial properties to secure our customers’ investments as soon as possible. It’s critical that our customers get their claims processed quickly in times like these, giving every customer of the Farm Bureau team no time to waste.

It’s critical that our customers get their claims processed quickly in times like these.

We are grateful to our healthcare providers, law enforcement officers, emergency responders, utility companies, and so many other essential organizations. Agents remain on-call to dispatch adjusters into communities and address customer needs. Mobile claims centers allow for faster processing and expedited benefit distribution.

While the timeline remains unknown, Mississippi Farm Bureau Insurance is here to walk through the rebuilding process with our customers. Customers can access their online account or file a claim online. While we all practice social distancing, our MOBILE agent App is a great way to get in touch.
